About

We built the tools before we built the agency

Double Cart grew out of software, not slide decks. Before taking on clients we built the machinery to do this work properly — a scanner, an AI sales assistant, and a research engine.

Why this agency exists

Commerce is quietly getting a second kind of customer. When someone asks ChatGPT for a gift idea or tells an assistant to reorder their skincare, an AI agent — not a person — reads the store, weighs the options, and picks who gets the sale.

That agent doesn't see your photography or feel your brand. It reads structured data, robots rules, policy pages, and machine-readable catalogs. Most Shopify stores were never built for that reader — and most agencies can't even measure it.

We started from the measurement problem. We built a scanner that reads a store exactly the way an AI agent does and scores what it finds. Then we built the assistant that turns that readiness into actual sales conversations.

The agency is the layer on top: humans who run those tools on your store, interpret the evidence, and do the fixing — so you don't have to learn a new discipline mid-quarter.

The machinery behind every engagement

Three systems we built and run ourselves — not white-labelled, not resold.

A store-intelligence scanner

Reads any store's public storefront, identifies what platform it runs on, and audits Shopify stores for AI-shopping readiness across five scored categories — the engine behind our audits and monitoring.

An AI sales assistant

KartWise answers shoppers' questions, finds products by text or photo, checks order status, and hands off to a human when needed — running live on real stores today.

A research platform

Our internal research engine studies every store we work with — technology stack, catalog, reviews, gaps — so our recommendations come from evidence, not templates.

The people

Small team, no account managers between you and the person doing the work.

Aftab Ahmad

Founder

Every store we touch should be measurably more visible to AI shoppers than it was the day before we met it — and we should be able to prove it on the same ruler we started with.

How we operate

Four rules we hold ourselves to — they cost us short-term sales and we keep them anyway.

1

Evidence first

Every engagement starts with a scan of your actual store. If the scan says you don't need us, we say so — the free scan exists precisely so neither of us is guessing.

2

Honest numbers

Revenue-gap figures are clearly labelled as modeled estimates. We publish outcome statistics and case studies only when they come from real, measured client results — never projections, never composites.

3

Humans in the loop

AI does the heavy lifting; a person reviews everything that touches your store or your customers before it ships.

4

Proof over promises

Work ends with a re-scan on the same ruler it started with. The before/after score — not a slide deck — is how we show what changed.
